Honda Continues its Investment in Hydrogen Fuel Cell Technology and Infrastructure

October 8 was National Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Day, and Honda took part in helping raise awareness of the technologies that can help diminish greenhouse gas emissions while also increasing the country's energy security.

Honda has led the automotive industry for nearly two decades in developing fuel cell technologies, such as creating the first EPA-certified fuel cell vehicle, the world's first production fuel cell vehicle, and the first fuel cell vehicle manufactured on a production line that was specifically created for fuel cell vehicles.

With 450 Clarity Fuel Cell vehicles in customer garages already, Honda is on its way to meeting its goal of having two-thirds of its global vehicle sales encompassing electrified vehicles by the year 2030. In addition, Honda is making a significant investment in hydrogen infrastructure throughout the country, while also targeting a 50 percent reduction in the company's total CO2 emissions by 2050 (as compared to levels from the year 2000).

At Piazza Honda of Pottsdown, we're excited to see what future technological developments come from the minds at Honda.
